Nothing is good about this - poor battery life, poor interface, i could never conf two handsets even after reading the manual 10 times, no phonebook sharing, 2 handsets went bad within 3 months and flash is not working anymore!! I hate it - am ready to throw it in garbage as soon i get my new set.

The Philips DETC phone has great sound quality but a terrible display that is difficult to read in sunlight and use as a phone. The controls are not logical and difficult to understand (press the arrow key down to see the last person who called, then up twice to see the previous callers). The biggest disappointment however is the speaker phone option in which the speaker and microphone are so directional you have to keep passing the phone between you if there's two of you and you're trying to speak to your family on the other end of the phone.

I have this a gift to a friend in Atlanta. She just called me to tell me that it has stopped working over the 4-th of July weekend. It would have been nice if it had lasted a few months instead. I will have to find out how to get it repaired or replaced this week.

The sound quality of this product is no where near what it was rated. The line is always full of static.

I am generally pretty happy with the phone. One thing to note is that the answering machine doesn't have time stamps, not important to me but maybe to others.
