To echo what most other people have written, this is a well made, good quality phone system. The speakerphone is completely useable, the sound quality is very good, the range is great (200+ft outside), and the size of the phones is perfect. I saw one other review saying the phones were small, but I like the size and lack of antenna stub. I agree that the user's manual is way too focused on the menu system. A map showing the menu and submenus would have been better.
Also, the common contact database is nice as long as you don't have two people with really long lists, then a system that stores diferent contacts on each phone would be a better option.
My phones are new, so the battery life of three hours (with one bar remaining) for the longest call so far is great, and longer than I'd like to be on a call. All-in-all, for a single line phone where you don't need individual voice mail boxes, this one is an excellent value.

We have had this system for a week now, and so far, we are very pleased. It is very easy to use, the instructions for programming it are easy to understand. I really like the call blocking feature, also the ability to retrieve messages, etc. from any of the handsets. I haven't yet decided about the talking caller ID feature (it sometimes pronounces words in a strange way), but if I eventually decide I don't like that feature, it is easy to disable it. It is easy to retrieve stored frequently called numbers (and quite easy to store them - compared to some other phones I've had). It is sometimes hard to hear a person to whom you are speaking without using the speakerphone, but that could just be my old grey aging ears. All in all, a very easy to use system packed with great features. I highly recommend it.

I actually like these phones very much with two exceptions.
First the good: They are very easy to set up. The range and voice quality are both excellent. They are weighted well and fit nicely in your hand. Battery life appears to be excellent and they use AA rechargeables that you can purchase easily if they ever need replaced.
Now the bad: There is no audible message alert. I had this feature on my previous phone and miss it. This may not bother some people. Also the phonebook, menu and redial keys are black on a black background. This makes it hard to distinguish them at night.
All-in-all these are excellent phones. I would highly recommend them if the lack of an audible alert is not a problem for you.

The range could be better...it works great in the house but goes out of range quickly outside.
