Batteries are leaky, doesn't charge and discharges very fast!! Not sure if this is device problem (not able to charge) or Batteries are bad.
Phone works fine. tried charging the batteries with external Panasonic charger - no luck
tried another set of enelope batteries fully charged doesn't work with the phone.

The title says it all. The phone seems to perform horribly until you get standard retail rechargeable batteries instead of the original ones. Once you replace the battery, this phone set is as good as any other Panasonic phone system.

It's great when it works. But it works just enough that I haven't thrown it out the window yet. Initially, there were just a few dropped calls. Not enough to prompt return when we should have. After months of use, calls dropped more frequently. It asks to be charged when all battery bars are still displayed. Screen blanks out for no apparent reason, then wakes up in charger when someone calls (sometimes). It doesn't ring for intercom call (sometimes). Asks for batteries to be installed when they are already installed. Asks to be charged for 7 hours arbitrarily. There seemed to be some improvement when we installed new, better batteries, but still not good service. (Should get 0 stars.)

For this kind of money you should at least get 30 to 40 minutes of total recording time....
